It's here! The first day of Kindergarten!
Such a big day in our little girl's life! She is more than ready to go. She has been asking "when will it be August?" since May when she graduated from VPK!
We got up VERY early to get ready for school and still cut it a little close! Picture taking may have played a part in that! ;) Here she is all "pressed and dressed" for her first day in Kindergarten!
Chickfila sponsored a "Boo Hoo" breakfast for Kindergarten parents dropping their kids off for the first day! Such a cute idea, and I just laughed about it until.... Lizzie walked into her room without saying goodbye! Parents were not allowed in the classroom at drop off. She did not look back. She did not wave...and I stared in disbelief. I knew she was ready. I knew she was excited and I was excited for her, but I did not expect to walk off without telling my girl goodbye on her first day of Kindergarten. Good thing they had tissues at the Boo Hoo Breakfast.
