Spring Break

Or as Keith calls it..
"Spring Break, WOO HOO!!!!"
(Quote from Joey on Friends)

Keith finished mowing the yard for the first time tonight (the jungle is gone!) and said "I think it's a Dairy Queen kind of night"!

What better way to kick off Spring Break???

Cubbies

The church we have been attending has a program called Dive Clubs (also known as AWANA). Elizabeth attended two weeks ago and decided that she wanted to join, so it was her first official night! Check out the vest! :)

DIY Table for Elizabeths Room

I have always dreamed of having a little girl who would have tea parties on her little white table for her dolls and stuffed animals, but we have never had a little white table and chairs for her "friends" to sit in as she plays hostess. I started to look for sets and they are very pricey, so I decided to get creative. I used moving boxes and tablecloths from her Bday party and wooden crates for chairs. Someday, we may still find the perfect little white table, but in the meantime, this will need to be enough. I have been working on this while she is at school. I can't wait to see her excitement when she gets home!

Keith-A-Que

We have traveled to Indiana MANY times since we moved to Florida and recently we noticed a sign for a restaurant called Keith-A-Que. We have always been ready to be done with our trip by the time we reach Southern Georgia, but this trip we had a little more time and were taking it slowly. So, we tried Keith-A-Que. Keith had a BBQ platter with ribs and pulled pork and I had a... wait for it... BUTT sandwich! Yes, that is what they called it! Cracked us up! The ambience was sterotypical southern hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. What an experience! I am not sure we will ever return to Keith-A-Que (sauce left something to be desired), but we can check that one off the list!
Oh yeah, and the chair with the butt imprints is in the ladies restroom!! LOL!!!

Rock City

We had an unexpected trip to Indiana for Bob Padgetts Memorial Service. His son Robby is Keith's best friend, college roommate, and honorary brother. :)

On the way home we decided to stop in Rock City, TN for a fun family adventure!

Happy Birthday Oreo!

The Oreo cookie celebrated it's 100th birthday and we celebrated by having these for dessert...

Lizzie's First Love Note

I looked in Lizzie's school bag and found this...

She said "that is for my friend Ben"

Friend, huh? What's with hearts, kiddo?
Daddy about flipped!!! LOL!!!!

Mommy and Lizzie Fun

Almost everyday we have been taking bike rides (Mommy walks/runs because my bike needs fixed). Lizzie's new game...
Take off as fast as she can and yell... "Mommy, RUN!"
Then she laughs hysterically...

These are some of my favorite pics from our bike rides...

It's March!

Ya gotta have Lucky Charms in March!! :)

Beach Mouse

Lizzie got a super fun package in the mail... A Minnie Mouse beach outfit! swimsuit, cover up, sunglasses, and flip flops!

Book-it!

Elizabeth is now participating in a fun program that Mommy was in when I was a little girl... Book-it!! She read her VERY FIRST BOOK today!!! This is a picture of her at the Avenue enjoying a treat from Planet Smoothie. She also received a gift certificate to Pizza Hut! Mommy is way more excited about the smoothie! :)

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Elizabeth and Daddy went to their first Daddy/Daughter dance at Elizabeth's preschool. They looked adorable!!

Elizabeth's 5th Birthday

Elizabeth turned 5 on Feb 1st and it was a super busy and super fun week!
On Wednesday, my first college roommate Angie Youngstedt and her family came to visit on their way to Disney. We had a blast!

Then on Thursday, Grandma and Grandpa Smith and Grandma Shack came into town for Elizabeth's birthday party on Sunday

We had a house full of friends and family for Elizabeth's Bday and loved every minute of it!

First day of VPK... Again!

Elizabeth began attending her new preschool/VPK the second week in January. She is a student at Viera Children's Academy and doing very well, despite the fact that she has to wear a uniform to school now!

Let the renovations begin!

Purchasing a home that was foreclosed and vacant for over a year has been a challenge. Most of our time has been spent in renovations and it has not been easy on us physically, financially or emotionally!

These are some pics of our first month in the house... Yes, IN the house! We were living here while this was all going on!!

Lots more pics of the home renovation craziness in our albums!

Hello, Melbourne!!

Well, I hate to be the girl that says "it has been a long time since my last post" again, but....
Nevertheless...
Life has been super crazy! On December 23 we closed on our house in Melbourne! A foreclosure that has been vacant for over a year in an awesome neighborhood and community!

Back story...
Keith was offered a promotion with Live TV/Jet Blue in August and the position is based out of Melbourne. Melbourne is located 45 minutes south east of Orlando. We felt that God made it perfectly clear that we were supposed to be in Melbourne and that it was time to begin settling into a home and community, so here we are!

Lots of "before" pics in our albums!
